Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Education: Must have passed SSLC or an equivalent qualification.
  • License: Valid driving license for Heavy Motor Vehicles (HMV) or Heavy Passenger Motor Vehicles (HPMV).
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years driving heavy motor vehicles.
  • Skills: Preference for candidates with good English and Hindi communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate staff and student buses.
  • Follow assigned routes and schedules.
  • Pick up faculty, staff, and guests.
  • Handle office purchases and other administrative tasks.
  • Assist clients with luggage loading and unloading.
  • Be available for weekend and night shifts.
  • Maintain a polite and professional demeanor.
  • Stay calm in stressful driving situations.
  • Ensure vehicle safety and perform operational checks before trips.
  • Keep the vehicle clean and safe.
  • Adhere to all transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record.
  • Be available to work at any time.

Salary:

  • Consolidated monthly remuneration: Rs. 21,900/- (includes Rs. 300/- telephone allowance)

Age Limit:

  • Maximum age: 35 years as of the notification date.

Selection Process:

  • Selection is based on a driving test and certificate verification.
  • Only shortlisted candidates will be called for a written and driving test. The date and venue will be communicated separately.
  • No intimation will be sent to non-eligible applicants.

  1. Submit online applications at the careers page of the IIM Kozhikode website (https://iimk.ac.in/) by 14.07.2024.
  2. Regularly check the website or your email for updates regarding the interview schedule.
  3. After online submission, print out the application form. For document verification, bring this printout, along with self-attested copies of your driving license, experience certificate, educational certificates, and mark sheets.
  4. Original certificates must also be presented for verification.
  5. Only complete applications or those with a signature will be accepted.
  6. Canvassing in any form will disqualify the candidate.
  7. Age relaxation as per Government of India norms will apply, provided relevant certificates are presented during the interview.
  8. The position is purely contractual with no claim for continuation or regular appointment.
  9. The Institute reserves the right to cancel the selection process at any stage without giving any reasons.
  10. No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.
  11. The decision of the Director, IIMK, regarding the selection will be final.
