Jawaharlal Nehru Tropical Botanic Garden and Research Institute (JNTBGRI) will hold Walk-in interviews for temporary positions in the externally funded project “Scale up production of plants for large-scale multiplication of high-value medicinal plants of the Western Ghats by Micropropagation (in vitro) for commercial cultivation/custom farming in Chhattisgarh state” at Jawaharlal Nehru Tropical Botanic Garden and Research Institute (JNTBGRI), Palode, Thiruvananthapuram.

Position: 

• Casual Labour/Lab Attender (One Vacancy)

Age Limit: 

• 36 years (as of 1st January 2024)

Educational Qualifications: 

• SSLC (50% marks) or equivalent qualification.
• Desirable Experience: Minimum of 3 months experience in a tissue culture lab (glassware cleaning, oven drying, disinfecting, etc.), greenhouse maintenance, nursery management of tissue culture plants, and field planting.

Salary/Fellowship: 

• Rs. 645 per day

Duration of the Project: 

• 6 months or until the project is completed.

Selection Mode:

• Selection will be based on performance in the walk-in interview. Relevant experience will be preferred.
